What I have learned after my Facebook account has been hacked

Snakes also resides in cities, so do they on the social media, specifically on Facebook. I can tell because I have experienced it first-hand. A person, I don’t know if a he or she, intruded and maneuvered into my Facebook account and left a terribly rude comment on my girl friend’s post which lead her to PM me and sent her disgust and hate to me for ‘posting’ that ill-mannered comment in public. Though it wasn’t really my fault and I couldn’t ever remember commenting such thing on her post, I still said sorry for my lapses and carelessness. I then immediately took some security measures for my account, changed my password and logged out my Facebook account in other devices thru a security option in the website.

Here are some tips on how to keep your Facebook account safe from hackers and intruders:

1.       Avoid using public computers or shared devices in accessing your Facebook account.
You might leave traces of your account’s information and with just a few clicks, somebody could get into it and use your account for their greedy, personal reasons.
2.    Secure a security lock or passcode for your app and more importantly for your devices ( laptops, tablets, or smartphones)
It will help, if in case you usually leave you gadgets unattended or somebody might steal them, not to easily have access on your account or in any apps you have.
3.       Don’t publicize all your personal information.
Limiting access to your personal information will help you be less vulnerable to scammers and hackers. Also, don’t just accept friend request from anyone whom you don’t know for extra safety precautions.
4.       Change your password from time to time and make sure only you knows about it.
What’s the use of a password if somebody else knows it? It should be a top secret.
5.       Don’t be careless.
Anything could happen anytime so don’t be so sure about everything and let your guards down, especially if it is about your safety.

Patience

An Original Piece

(c) A Vixen's Journey To Life- WordPress.com

Give it some time,

An eye will flutter open and the other will follow.

Give it some time,
And the nose will smell your sorrow.

Give it some time,
And the ears will hear your pleas.

Give it some time,
And the mouth will learn to say riddles.

Give it some time,
And the mind would soon find the Answer.

And so, the feet will follow the destined path.

The hands will do its work,
And the body will yield its bounty.

On Bad News
A Reaction Paper

As I conceive it, I think Bad news is worth aired, if and only if, if it is for the purpose stated on the book authored by Malinao (Journalism for Filiplinos). It must solely serve its purpose to call for awareness and vigilance for both of the public and the government in whatever is happening inside our country or in our neighboring countries.

Sadly, what I sometimes hear, see and observe from some press people of today makes me doubt in the credibility of their news reports. Some of them let themselves, consciously or unconsciously, be used by powerful and greedy propagandists' agenda. I hope that this malpractice in the profession of journalism would be duly addressed and resolved someday. I hope and pray that journalists would uphold to their oath as a voice of the people and maybe then, "bad news" would result to a "good news" for our country's reform.

Anong New Year’s Resolution Mo?

Same class, same kabulastugan, same result at ang ending?

Sayang ano?

We, The Teens

How do I see myself?

I see myself as future contributor of my country's more successes.
I am an essential part of the nation-building.
I am a youth to the path of becoming.

And so I, as student, must do my responsibilities and obligations to fulfill my calling as a millennial of this growing nation.

I say No to Negativities and say Yes to Possibilities.

The Unmarried Wife Movie Review

This riveting and mellow dramatic movie by Direk Maryo J. Delos Reyes is another one of his beautifully crafted masterpieces. The screenplay was well written and fluid. Looking at their movie trailer, it may appear cliché but as you go through the whole movie play, you’d see how realistic and comprehensive each scenes are. Emotions were magnificently captured by the camera.  The casts’ acting skills were just of right feel. This is a story of a woman, a wife and a loving mother trying to juggle her time for her family and career.
Watch how Angelica Panganiban as “Anne Gonzaga”, wife of Dingdong Dantes as “Geoff Victorio”, and their third parties Maricar Reyes as “Cristina” and Paulo Avilino as “Bryan” live their lives of love, lies, adventures, decisions, pain, acceptance and forgiveness.

This movie would make you ask ‘what ifs’ and change your view upon how a family works. I highly recommend this movie to young couples and married ones. After watching it, you’d surely have a lesson or two and have yourselves contemplating on the “hugot” lines thrown by its exquisite actors.
